"You must touch the trees. You must begin "thinking" like a tree" Alex L. Shigo
Monika Buczko, principal of Redwood Consulting Arborist, combines her considerable skills and experience into an extraordinary passion for nature and the environment. Since 2007 in the tree care business with her husband Robert and extensive training and education, Monika has emerged as one of the leading consulting arborists in the country.
Her understanding and knowledge of trees have fueled her unstoppable passion to educate her clients about how trees are so important to our ecology and natural well-being. When you engage with her, you will not only learn a lot, but you’ll be inspired by her love and compassion for nature’s amazing interface with trees and plants in general and how their care comprises a critical element in our environment.
One of the more satisfying aspects of her knowledge and experience is the opportunity to explain to her customers how trees work and their benefits to both our ecology and humans. Especially rewarding is when she is able to change someone’s mind about actually removing a tree.
Monika’s passion for nature and our environment started when she was a young teenager climbing trees and being outside. It fueled her curiosity about understanding how trees and plants work.
Over the course of her career, Buczko became an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist®, ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist®, earned the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, ASCA Tree and Plant Appraisal Qualification and became a TCIA CTSP (Certified Treecare Safety Professional), TCIA PHCT (Plant Health Care Technician), TCIA EHAP (Electrical Hazard Awareness Program), a TCIA Certified Tree Care Specialist, a TCIA Tree Care Safety Specialist, and holds a Small (Unmanned) Aircraft System (Drone) Airman Certificate.
Monika believes education never stops because every day, there is something new to learn about trees.
As of April 2022, Monika volunteers on the ISA Board Certified Master Arborist Test Committee. This role enables her, as a qualified industry professional, to create, review and maintain certification exam content. In this role, she will be able to give back to her profession by sharing valuable insights and expertise. She also hopes to learn and grow from her peers while helping to advance the credentialing program.
When you call on Redwood Consulting Arborists, you are connecting with an extremely well-qualified company that provides science-based, industry-proven recommendations on tree health and care, tree hazard, safety, risk inspections and assessment, and insect and disease examinations. Additionally, Redwood offers excellent tree planting consultations and an extensive menu of services that will help keep your property and plant life healthy and vibrant. Monika volunteered at William Tennent High School’s Environmental Club and talked about the benefits and importance of trees. The club is participating in Tree-Plenish this year. The main goal of Tree Plenish is to plant trees in communities based on an approximation of school paper usage. Schools consume a lot of paper (worksheets, homework, tests, etc.). Tree-Plenish’s mission is to replenish the environment with trees, and students can be a part of this important environmental change.
